London, Drowned

No clever names for this one yet, but here are the base maps for London, at 40m and 66m of sea level rise.

This map has been updated!

Here are the old maps:

Like all my other sea rise maps, these are based on numbers provided by the IPCC.

Love it! I eventually found my bearings on the 40M but London’s already a bit too low-lying for anywhere except Hampstead/Highgate etc to survive in the inner North. I hope a small artificial archipelago would survive around the Shard, say. But maybe not with Kevin Costner.

These are amazing maps and yes, I originally come from North Hayes (Kingshill Avenue way) so had a fine time locating my home. Needless to say it is under water, which does not surprise me as the Green Belt land there has flooded for decades and the local river, the Brent, often floods onto the plains and fields thereabouts.
